Saturday 7^th March

Our first diesel hauled express of 2026, The Welsh Chieftain, will see our Class 37 37240 paired with 37418 over the scenic Heart of Wales line, with the return over the famed Welsh Marches.

Saturday 28^th March

This Spring we return to Carlisle, a 2,000 year old city with plenty of history to discover. While the city is famous for Hadrian’s Wall, there is much more besides including the Cathedral, Castle and several museums and galleries, all for you to explore.

Saturday 2^nd May

This train will be steam hauled up the West Coast Mainline to Chester and then by diesel to Llandudno, where passengers can alight for the town’s annual transport festival.

The Llandudno Transport Festival is the largest in Wales and one of the UK’s best-loved events, held in conjunction with the Victorian Extravaganza.

Saturday 18^th July

Join us for a delightful Summer Saturday journey down to south coast of England and the historic Cathedral and Port city of Portsmouth.

Whether you want a day trip to the seaside or explore the rich history of the city, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

Wednesday 2^nd December

Join us for a festive steam-hauled train journey behind one of our Castle Class locomotives, travelling through the East Midlands to the historic city of York.

Visit the medieval city’s award-winning Christmas Markets, explore the narrow, cobbled streets or marvel at the wonderful Minster, a beautiful Gothic Cathedral in the heart of the city.
