Named after a short-lived British Railways Western Region Express at the end of steam, we are reviving this express for an exciting mainline steam experience.
The Mayflower will leave from Birmingham, diesel hauled, to our pick-up stations through to Bristol.

From Bristol the tour really comes alive, as our two Castle Class locomotives, Clun Castle and Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, will double head The Mayflower unassisted to Plymouth over the Devon banks in both directions, recreating thunderous scenes of a bygone era over the Great Western Mainline.

Upon arrival back at Bristol the tour will once again be diesel hauled for final leg to Birmingham.

Birmingham New Street, Barnt Green, Worcester Parkway, Cheltenham, Bristol Parkway or Bristol Temple Meads.

Seating in one of our original Pullman Cars with full English Breakfast and four-course evening dinner, tea & coffee, all served at your seat. Guaranteed tables of two can be booked for a supplement of £30 per person, subject to availability.	Seating at a table for 4 in an original First Class Open Car. Bacon Rolls and pastries for Breakfast and Afternoon Tea on the return journey included. Guaranteed tables of two can be booked for a supplement of £20 per person, subject to availability. Private compartments for up to six people are also available.	Seating arranged at tables of 4 in one of our Tourist coaches. A buffet is available for the purchase of hot drinks, soft drinks, light refreshments and alcoholic drinks.
