Steam Trains on Britain’s Mainline Railway

Departing from Birmingham, Great Britain to Multiple Scenic Locations in GB

The Shakespeare Express: Sunday 6th April From £40.00 per Person

37 240 which last pulled a passenger service on the mainline on 1st December 1996, has recently been out on a test run and helped pull a Vintage Trains train back from Hellifield last week. We are pleased to announce that it will be rostered to haul the Shakespeare Express on Sunday 6th April between Birmingham Snow Hill and Worcester Shrub Hill and reverse later in the day. The train will be led by one of our Castles between Worcester and Stratford-upon-Avon and return to Worcester.

To give passengers an early opportunity to travel behind 37 240, we have a limited number of tickets available from Birmingham Snow Hill to Worcester Shrub Hill and return later in the day, in the first passenger carriage behind the locomotive.

"Good simple family fun"

The Polar Express was a great family experience. If you’ve watched the movie then this hits the spot. There’s no CGI or fancy light show just good simple family fun. We loved it, great for younger children who’ve seen the movie.

"Well organised"

We went for a ride out to Llandudno on Clun Castle. The whole thing was efficiency run and well organised. I've been on many heritage railways before but being able to ride on a steam train on the main railway lines was something else. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience!!!
