As the train departs from Birmingham, the landscape gradually transforms, offering passengers a picturesque journey towards the charming town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Rolling hills dotted with lush greenery and quaint villages, unfold outside the windows, creating a serene backdrop for the ride.

As the train approaches Stratford-upon-Avon, the anticipation builds among our passengers eager to explore the birthplace of William Shakespeare. The tranquil ambiance of the train ride will prepare you for a day of leisurely strolling through the town’s charming streets and pathways, visiting its historic landmarks, and immersing themselves in its rich cultural heritage.

Overall the train ride from Birmingham to Stratford offers a relaxing and unique express of the “Golden Age of Travel” but also a serene and scenic journey through the heart of the English countryside, setting the tone for a memorable day.

You’ll board on a Sunday morning at one of three convenient Birmingham stations (departing Snow Hill at 10:00, Moor Street at 10:05 and Tyseley at 10:15). Sit back in your 1950s or 1960s seat for a journey of approximately one hour – taking in a variety of views and take shots from your phone.

As we arrive at Stratford, you will have an opportunity to take a photograph of the locomotive before heading into this historic town for a few hours to shop and sight see.

We depart Stratford at 16:13 so don’t forget to get back in good time. As the day ends, you can start thinking about where your next Vintage Trains adventure will take you.
