Join us this Summer onboard The Shakespeare Express for an exciting Sunday afternoon out for the whole family.
The journey takes you from the heart of Birmingham, through the pretty Warwickshire countryside, to the historic market town of Stratford-upon-Avon. The train runs at express speeds either along the Shakespeare Line, with several stations retaining their original Great Western Railway features, or the Chiltern mainline alongside trains to and from London.
At Stratford-upon-Avon, you will have approximately an hour before the return journey to Birmingham. Why not watch the steam locomotive run around the train, or visit our on-train shop to purchase a souvenir of your day. On some weekends, there may also be art exhibitions for your to explore at the station.
Tickets on the afternoon service of The Shakespeare Express feature travel in one of our 1960s First Class carriages, as well as a delicious Afternoon Tea served at your seat, while you watch the world pass by your window.
