The Journey
This July, you can board a steam-hauled journey to the home of the Beatles, the Grade II-Listed Royal Liver Building, Liverpool FC, and a whole host of maritime history. And, while there, you can enjoy a day that includes discounted entry to two of the city’s finest attractions.
Ticket to Ride departs Birmingham, heading out through the Midlands before joining the West Coast Main Line at Nuneaton, where steam takes over for the run north through Stafford and the legendary railway town of Crewe, and on into Liverpool.
You will have over four hours to explore the city at your leisure, while also having the option to choose from discounted entry to either the Beatles Story experience at the Albert Dock, or a cruise aboard the iconic Mersey Ferry. Both can be added when you book your ticket.
The return journey south departs Liverpool in the early evening, giving you time to settle in, reflect on the day, and enjoy whatever your class of travel includes.
Departing From
Birmingham New Street, Coleshill Parkway, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Lichfield Trent Valley, Stafford, Crewe
Please Note: the journey is diesel hauled between Birmingham and Nuneaton in both directions, with steam haulage from Nuneaton to Liverpool and return.
Added Bonus
Upon booking, you’ll receive information on how to access discounted entrance to either of the below:
The Beatles Story: The world’s largest permanent Beatles exhibition, housed in the original Fab Four’s city at the Albert Dock. A must for music lovers of any generation.
Mersey Ferry: Step aboard the most famous ferry in pop history for a cruise across the Mersey, with views of the Liverpool skyline that have barely changed in decades. An icon of the city, and a genuine piece of living history.
