The Christmas White Rose is a steam-hauled day-long excursion from Birmingham to York on Wednesday 2 December, 2026, giving you almost four hours in the city for its award-winning Christmas Market, the Minster and the medieval streets around Stonegate and the Shambles. One of our resident Castle Class locomotives will haul the train throughout, making it a festive outing for friends, family or colleagues that will be remembered long after the day is done.

First Class starts from £244 per person with bacon rolls and pastries on the outward journey and festive afternoon tea on the return, brought to your seat in our authentic 1960s coaches. Pullman Dining starts from £359 per person and includes a full English breakfast as you head north and a four-course evening Christmas dinner on the return leg home, all served to you in one of our original Pullman Cars.
