Class 50 Diesel D400 Fearless

Update – Change of Date
Unfortunately, 50050 Fearless has suffered a traction motor failure whilst working a train. The owners and maintainers of Fearless are currently working very hard to rectify the problem.
We have rescheduled the train to Wednesday 13th July. All passengers will be contacted by email regarding their booking.
Tour Details
A diesel hauled trip with D400 Fearless over the famous and highly scenic Settle & Carlisle line alongside the Cumbrian fells with time to visit Carlisle city.
Following our final stop to pick up passengers at Chesterfield, our train will travel via Skipton and Hellifield to join the Settle and Carlisle line. After our visit to Carlisle we will return over the demanding hill climbing journey via the Settle and Carlisle line and retrace our outward route to Tyseley.
Board at Tyseley Locomotive Works (limited pre-booked free car parking available), Coleshill Parkway, Tamworth High Level, Burton on Trent, Derby or Chesterfield.
Joining arrangements
Tyseley Locomotive Works, Coleshill Parkway, Tamworth High Level, Burton on Trent, Derby, Chesterfield. The return journey will drop-off at all outward stations.
Seating Arrangements
Seating is available in our Pullman Cars and Open Coaches. You will be seated at tables of two or four or in a Private Compartment in your selected Coach according to your booking. Tables for two can be booked in Pullman Class for a supplement of £30 per person subject to availability.
Bookings for up to four people will be seated at the same table. Bookings of more than four people will be seated at adjacent tables.
First Class Compartments for six people are also available.
Boarding Card
A boarding card confirming your booking details and allocated coach will be emailed to you upon completion of your booking. Please print this boarding card to access the train. Separate tickets are not issued.
Final Details and Timings
Final times will be published on this website 7-10 days before the date of the train.

- Seating in one of our original Pullman Cars with full English Breakfast and four course evening dinner, tea & Coffee, all served at your seat. Guaranteed tables of two can be booked for a supplement of £30 per person, subject to availability.
Pullman (Non-Dining)
- Seating in one of our original Pullman Cars with tea & Coffee served at your seat.
First Compartment
- Private first class compartment for up to six people with light refreshments including Danish pastries,sandwiches and cake, tea & Coffee, all served at your seat.
Club Class
- Seating at tables for four in our Club Class Coaches with light refreshments including Danish pastries, Bacon Roll, sandwiches and cake, tea & Coffee, all served at your seat.
Tourist Class
- Seating at tables for four in our Tourist Open carriages. Bacon rolls, light refreshments, wine, beer, teas & coffees can be ordered for delivery to your seat.
