Class 47 & Class 20 Locomotives

Travel by Vintage trains from Birmingham New Street, Worcester Shrub Hill or Worcester Parkway direct to the dedicated Rail Live platform at Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre.

The train will be hauled top-and-tailed by Class 20 and class 47 heritage diesel locomotives. The Class 20 will lead the train from Birmingham New Street vai Worcester and into Long Marston via the two-mile branch, which diverges from the Oxford- Worcester main line at Honeybourne.

The Class 47 will lead the train on the return journey climbing the 1 in 37 Lickey Incline (Britain’s steepest main line gradient) over the two miles from Bromsgrove to Blackwell).

Board and leave the train at Birmingham New Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcestershire Parkway

Seating Arrangements

Passengers joining at Birmingham New Street will be seated in our authentic Pullman Cars. Passengers joining at Worcester will be seated in our Tourist Open Coaches.

You will be seated at tables of two or four in your selected Coach according to your booking.

Bookings for up to four people will be seated at the same table. Bookings of more than four people will be seated at adjacent tables.

Catering

Bacon Rolls are available to pre-order with your booking. The buffet car will be serving light refreshments, wine, beer, teas & coffees during the journey.

Boarding Card

A boarding card confirming your booking details and allocated coach will be emailed to you upon completion of your booking. Please print this boarding card to access the train. Separate tickets are not issued.
